Rustic fare
As much as I adore to try all kinds of more or less exotic dishes I once in a while resort to a true swiss classic. Tried and tested, those dishes never fail to please. And the Boyfriend certainly enjoys a "normal" dinner now and then, such as
Bratwurst with onion and white wine sauce (serves 2)
- Some good-quality ground meat sausage
- some oil for frying
- 2 red onions, cut into fine slices
- one small apple, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 dash of curry powder
- one glass white wine
- salt and pepper
In case you wonder why there is curry powder in a traditional swiss recipe - there wouldn't be, that's just me. And the apple isn' t traditional either. There is nothing I can say in my defence.
