As every year after the festive season, I suffer from a rich foods-overfeed. As for desserts, I steer clear off anything containing butter, cream, sugar or chocolate (I'm not sure how long that's going to last, though). In this mood, I made myself some dessert without any of these offenders to round off a meal the other night.
January orange dessert (serves 1)
- 1 orange
- 2 tablespoons low-fat fromage frais or greek yoghurt
- a sprinkling of chopped pistachio nuts
